Sunwest Bank Sends Six Employees to Help Build the Latest Hovde Home in Ghana, Africa

Since 2010, The Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation has been supporting Challenging Heights, an organization in Ghana that rescues victims of child slavery. The organization's founder, James Kofi Annan was a child slave for most of his childhood and has since been driving the rescue, rehabilitation, education, and prevention of child labor and trafficking for affected and at-risk families in the region.

Recently the Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation partnered with the Hovde Foundation to build a rehabilitation shelter that these kids can call home. This house now has the capacity to provide rehabilitation services for up to 60 children at any given time. In addition to funding this Hovde House, Sunwest Bank recently sent six employees to see the property first-hand and help with construction.
